Welcome to the Sheldon Street Lodge Downtown Prescott. Formally known as the Historic Navajo Lodge. The original lodging facility in this location was established in 1907. It housed many immigrant workers from China, Greece and Italy to build the railway. Although the original building no longer exists, the original Santa Fe Depot still sits across the street to remind us of days past. It is easy to see how convenient it would have been for workers & miners to lay their heads down here after a hard days work. As The Pevine Santa Fe Railway has not run for over 70 years, many people of it's history have called us home.

In the early 1940's a new lodging structure (the current) was built on to a small portion of the original. Then in 1965 The Navajo Lodge with its bright neon sign was opened as a small motor lodge for many people passing through Prescott en-route from "The Mother Road", Route 66. Many locals remember us being the first Trailways station in town, later becoming the Greyhound station, cafe and overnight lodge. Todays owners are lifetime Prescott residents, and first started loving on these quaint, rustic and historical walls over two decades now. This little place has been through many changes in the last century and is always a little gem in progress for those who like to stay at unique, small places with lots of character.

Today, we are a small family owned and operated motor lodge with big "Old West" hospitality and charm in the heart of "Everybody's Hometown". So come enjoy the plethora of wonderful boutiques, art cafes, antique stores, theaters and galleries all within a few short blocks. Take in some local history and architecture as you walk from your room to Prescott's stunning, tree lined lawn and Gazebo, Courthouse Plaza, There are more than 800 buildings on the National Register of Historical Places here, many right downtown. Treat yourself to a piece of jewelry or western apparel unique to only Prescott. There are many sweet and savory treat choices downtown, and our food scene has hit a new level in recent years. Our longtime local staff can always direct you to the best places and where the locals go. Meet the people and you'll keep returning every time. They can highly recommend wonderful eating experiences that will keep your mouth watering long after you have returned home.  Try some of the local Brew or our world renowned Mead at our local Meadery. Our location will not disappoint if you want to be walking distance to all that our downtown has to offer and a short drive to lakes and trails. We thank you in advance for staying with us if you choose. We appreciate your business and always wish you fun and safe travels where ever they may lead you next!   CHEERS
